Public-facing standards for peer review, ethics, copyright, privacy, corrections, and preservation.
Journal Policies | IJCAE
Peer review
Manuscripts are subject to editorial screening and, where appropriate, independent peer review. Reviewer identities and review visibility follow the workflow established by the journal for the relevant submission.
Publication ethics and academic integrity
IJCAE expects honest reporting, appropriate attribution, authentic authorship, disclosure of conflicts, and responsible treatment of research participants and data. Suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated or manipulated material, or undisclosed authorship concerns may result in rejection, correction, retraction, or other editorial action.
Copyright, reversion, and continuing publication rights
For articles accepted and published under this policy, copyright in the accepted and published article is assigned to the International Journal of Culture and Education (IJCAE) for a period of eighteen (18) months beginning on the article's official date of publication. During this eighteen-month period, IJCAE owns the copyright in the published article and may publish, reproduce, distribute, display, archive, index, and otherwise make the article available in print, electronic, digital, database, repository, or other media.
Upon expiration of the eighteen-month period, copyright automatically reverts to the author without the need for further assignment, notice, filing, or other action by IJCAE or the author.
Notwithstanding the automatic reversion of copyright, the author grants IJCAE, Blackwood Harbor & Co., and their successors and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to preserve, host, reproduce, publish, republish, distribute, display, archive, index, transmit, and otherwise make available the article in the form in which it was published by IJCAE. This continuing license survives reversion of copyright to the author and remains effective for the duration of the applicable copyright and any extensions or renewals.
IJCAE may reproduce or republish the published version with its journal title, volume and issue information, pagination, DOI, citation information, publisher identification, and other bibliographic metadata. The continuing publication license does not authorize substantive alteration of the author's scholarly work. Technical changes reasonably necessary for preservation, accessibility, indexing, platform migration, file-format conversion, or display in different media are permitted.
After copyright reverts, the author may reproduce, republish, distribute, license, adapt, or otherwise use the article without further permission from IJCAE, provided such use does not restrict or interfere with IJCAE's continuing rights under this policy. Copyright and license terms attached to articles published before adoption of this policy remain governed by the terms applicable to those articles at the time of publication.
Corrections and retractions
Material errors may be addressed through corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions depending on their severity and effect on the scholarly record. Changes should remain transparent and preserve the publication history.
Conflicts of interest
Authors, editors, and reviewers should disclose relationships or interests that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the research or editorial process.
Privacy and cookies
This public website is designed as a lightweight informational site and does not itself provide manuscript accounts or local submission forms. Authentication and manuscript workflows occur at the separate Harbor Publish portal. Server operators may still collect ordinary technical logs. Any future analytics or cookie-based services should be disclosed before deployment.
Archiving and preservation
IJCAE intends to preserve its published scholarly record, stable DOI references, and bibliographic metadata. The public journal archive is maintained separately from protected submission workflows.
Author responsibilities
Authors are responsible for manuscript accuracy, lawful use of third-party material, complete authorship attribution, ethical approvals where applicable, and timely response to editorial queries.
